Octopoid, a small, interventionist company offering production, distribution and consultancy in film, music and art, was set up by Gerard F. Tierney as a successor to Projectile Productions. Gerard has worked on creative documentaries, hybrid films and fiction films, often helping develop and support directors facing up to quite painful subject matter. ("Our meanings and our feelings", as the great musician Michel Portal once put it.)
Internationalist in outlook, Octopoid is collaborating with a small number of directors, two of them graduating from well-known European institutions. Octopoid is also an associate of film festival strategists Random Headache, set up by Chongyan Liu and Thomas Moore. This link leads to the Random Headache website:

Through Octopoid, Gerard co-produced Chongyan's autofiction short film After All with Le Fresnoy, the French national studio of contemporary art. The film featured in Le Fresnoy's 'Panorama' showcase and has begun to appear in Festivals, starting with a World Premiere at Seoul Pride in their 'Asia Pride' section. There is a link here to the film's entry in the British Council's Film Directory, and then a link to Chongyan's site:

Octopoid has taken on Projectile's completed work, including the feature documentary Privileg, now on Amazon Prime and TUBI in a number of territories and with German theatrical distribution. Octopoid is involved in a limited number of other features and shorts in production and post-production, with Gerard Tierney attached as Consultant or Executive Producer.

And the octopus drawing? Glad you asked - kudos to artist and filmmaker Deborah S. Phillips for that one! This link leads to her site:
